1.4.9 IMS 5000
The configuration IMS 5000 is a measuring system consisting of the track trolley TGS FX,
the Amberg Measurement Unit (AMU), the battery column GBS 5010, the IMS 5000 Synch-
Box (only when using AMU 1030) and the Amberg Profiler 6012 or other high-speed laser-
scanner. This configuration allows measuring the relative and absolute track geometry based
on measurements to control points, which are located on the side of the track without using an
additional external sensor (e.g. total station on tripod or second trolley), and at the same time
a high-resolution data capture by laser scanning.

1.5 Supported instruments and components
The GRP System FX is a modular system which supports various instruments (as
measuring sensor) and components. The following sections list the supported instruments and
components. They give additional information related to the integration and use of them.
1.5.1 Total station for georeferencing of GRP System FX
The following robotic total stations are supported for the operation together with the GRP
