•
Slide off the exhaust end cover, being
careful that the acoustic insulation ma-
terial remains attached to the exhaust
end.
•
Detach the acoustic insulation material
which covers the metal wool.
CAUTION
IT IS ADVISABLE TO LEAVE THE METAL WOOL PLACED
AROUND THE SILENCER MESH, IF NECESSARY (WHEN
THERE ARE "HOLES" OR A SECTION OF THE MESH HAS
BEEN LEFT UNCOVERED) REPLACE IT WITH 4 COMMER-
CIALLY AVAILABLE STEEL WOOL WINDINGS, MEDIUM
FABRIC.
•
Fit the new acoustic insulation material
around the metal wool; once it is fully
adhered, glue the edges together.
Refit the exhaust end body, until the front bottom
holes are aligned with the body itself
CAUTION
THE ACOUSTIC INSULATION MATERIAL MUST BE COR-
RECTLY POSITIONED. BE CAREFUL THAT IT IS NOT FOL-
DED AT THE SAME POINT OR "PINCHED" BETWEEN THE
FRONT BASE AND THE SILENCER BODY
•
Using TT Inox rivets, Ø 4.8x12.9,
rivet again clockwise, having previously fitted all
rivets to obtain the correct position.
CAUTION
BEFORE RIVETING AGAIN, CHECK THAT THE FRONT
BASE AND THE SILENCER BODY ARE CORRECTLY ORI-
ENTED WITH REFERENCE TO THE MARK MADE WITH
THE INDELIBLE PEN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EX-
HAUST END SERVICE PROCEDURE.
