CAUTION
THIS PROCEDURE IS VALID FOR BOTH EXHAUST ENDS
•
With an indelible pen mark the phase
between the front bottom (that welded
to the joint) and the muffler body as
visual reference to check the correct
orientation during refitting phase.
•
Remove the 4 connecting rivets (silencer section) between the front assembly and the si-
lencer body operating as follows::
•
With a commercially available Ø 3mm
pin and a mallet, take out the pin of the
rivets.
•
Using a drill with a Ø 5mm point perfo-
rate the rivets completely
.
•
If necessary, use a commercially avail-
able Ø 5mm pin and a rubber mallet to
remove any remaining shank of the riv-
ets, making sure that both holes, the
exhaust end hole and the silencer body
one, are free
CAUTION
MAKE SURE THAT NO RIVET SHANKS ARE LEFT INSIDE
THE SILENCER DURING REFITTING
