16.3.2.6 Routing Digital Input (Contact) DVA Play Mode Configuration
This setting is only relevant when a ‘Routing’ contact is used for control of DVA routes.
The DVAs assigned to a contact may be configured to cease playing immediately that the route is terminated
(DVA-Part), or play until the end of the message and then stop (DVA-Full).
In order to set the DVA play mode proceed as follows.
1. Select ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆControlÆRemote.
2. Move to scroll the Remote I/O unit list until the required unit is displayed:
[Remote I/O unit=n] Not Configured
Default value: ‘Remote I/O unit=1’
Possible I/O units: 1 to 3 for VAR4
1 to 6 for VAR12
1 to 9 for VAR20
3. Move to, and select the Digital In menu item.
Analogue [Digital In] Digital Out
4. Move to, and scroll the contact list until the required contact is displayed in the left field:
[Contact#nn] Routing Not-Surv
Default value: ‘Contact#01’
Contact numbers: 01 to 12
5. Press the SELECT key to display the routing configuration menu.
6. Select the Control menu item:
Zoning [Control] Clear-all
7. Move to, and toggle to the required play mode in the right field:
Latching Busy=On [DVA-Full]
[DVA-Full]
The repeating DVA broadcast will play to the end of the message before stopping when the trigger
is de-asserted.
[DVA-Part]
The repeating DVA broadcast will stop immediately when the trigger is de-asserted.
Default value: ‘DVA-Full’
Note: If the DVA Routing button is configured to Play Once, this setting should be DVA-Full.
8. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
