20.5 Fault Codes and Suggested Actions

In general numeric fault codes cannot be fixed on site and the unit will require returning to the
factory.

A one of occurrence may be experienced due to EMI
or transients. Repeated occurrences indicate faulty
electronics.
Power supply fault VARNN POWER
NN=01 to 30 (VAR ID)
Check power supply.
Auxiliary fuse VARNN AUX FUSE
NN=01 to 30 (VAR ID)
Check auxiliary fuse.
Over temperature alarm VARNN OVER TEMPERATURE
NN=01 to 30 (VAR ID)
Check the ambient temperature in the equipment
room.
EEPROM failure VARNN/X NON-VOL MEMORY
NN=01 to 30 (VAR ID)
X=1=Base unit board
2=Expansion board 1 (VAR12)
3=Expansion board 2 (VAR20)
VAR Router will need replacing.
Host comms fault VARNN HOST COMMS
NN=01 to 30 (VAR ID)
Check Host and connection between Host and VAR
Router.

DSP INCOMPATIBLE DSP software version is not compatible with
Microcontroller (CP) software version; typically the
DSP version does not support the required Induction
Loop.
DSP software will need update.
