In order to change the VAR Router from stand-alone mode settings to network mode, please follow the

The VAR-NIA is required to provide the VAR12 and VAR20 with networking capability. For
details on the VAR-NIA, refer to the VAR-NIA Product Manual [Table 24-8].

If for any reason the configuration data is cleared, the system defaults to the stand-alone mode,
and the network mode settings require re-configuration if previously configured.

5.1.3.1 Network Channel Configuration
Set the number of network audio channels to be as required, as described in the following steps.
1. Select ConfigurationÆSystemÆNetÆChannels.
2. The number of network channels is displayed:
[Network Channel=3]
3. Scroll the network channel field until the required number is displayed.
Default value: ‘0’
Possible values: 0 to 3
Where: 0: Stand-alone operation.
1: Network operation using one channel, VAR Router Input 1.
2: Network operation using two channels, VAR Router Inputs 1 and 3.
3: Network operation using three channels, VAR Router Inputs 1, 3, and 4.
Note: The number of network channels should match the system build’s hardware configuration.
VAR Router inputs which are not used for network operation can normally be used for the
connection of microphones or other audio sources.
4. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
