16.3.2.2 Configuring a Routing Digital Input (Contact) for Non-latching Mode
This mode is useful for the control of both DVA routes and other sources, such as background music.
When configured for non-latching operation the activation a ‘Routing’ contact initiates a route. When the
contact is released, the route is cleared.
In order to configure a ‘Routing’ contact for ‘Not Latched’ mode proceed as follows.
1. Select ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆControlÆRemote.
2. Move to scroll the Remote I/O unit list until the required unit is displayed:
[Remote I/O unit=n] Not Configured
Default value: ‘Remote I/O unit=1’
Possible I/O units: 1 to 3 for VAR4
1 to 6 for VAR12
1 to 9 for VAR20
3. Move to, and select the Digital In menu item.
Analogue [Digital In] Digital Out
4. Move to, and scroll the contact list until the required contact is displayed in the left field:
[Contact#nn] Routing Not-Surv
Default value: ‘Contact#01’
Contact numbers: 01 to 12
5. Press the SELECT key to display the routing configuration menu.
6. Move to, and select the Control menu item:
Zoning [Control] Clear-all
7. Move to, and select the Latching menu item:
[Latching] Busy=On DVA-Full
8. Move to, and toggle to ‘Mode=Not Latched’ mode in the left field:
[Mode=Not Latched] ResetContact --
Other options available:
• [Mode=Latched]
Configures the contact for latching mode.
When this mode is selected, the reset contact list on the right side is scrollable for selection.

• [Mode=Play Once]
Configures the contact for ‘Play Once’ mode.
When this mode is selected, the associated DVAs are played once only.
See Section “16.3.2.4 Configuring a Routing Digital Input (Contact) for Play Once Mode”.
Default value: ‘Mode=Not Latched’
9. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
