19.4 Loading the Configuration from a File
It is possible to load a configuration that has been saved to a file. This can be used to restore the
configuration to the Router, or to configure other systems with appropriate modification. Follow these steps
to load a configuration saved to a file:
1. Select File→Open from the main menu.
2. Select the required configuration file.
3. Press Open.
4. The file type and location are shown on the top area of the Properties panel.
19.5 Saving the Configuration as Text File
It is possible to save a configuration to a file as backup or as base configuration for other systems. Follow
these steps to save the configuration to a file:
1. Select File→Save as from the main menu.
2. Save observing the following convention.
The file names should follow the following format:
AVAXXXX_YYY_As_Commissioned.txt
YYY = Identifier of individual VAR Router in the system
3. The file type and location are shown on the top area of the Properties panel.
19.6 Applying Changes to the Unit
In order to apply any changes to the unit follow these steps:
1. Select Router→Write to Router from the main menu.
2. Enter the Host server machine name or Select Computer.
4. Enter the unit’s ID.
5. Press Connect.
