17 Night Time Volume Control
The VAR Router provides a Night Time Volume Control function. This is a facility for automatically limiting
the volume of announcements at configurable times of the day, usually during the night.
17.1 Enabling/Disabling the Night Time Volume Control
The Night Time Volume Control may be enabled or disabled according to the specific needs, as described in
the following steps.
1. Select ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆNoise.
2. Move to, and toggle to the required Night Time Volume Control option in the left field:
[Off] Times Outputs Inputs
• Off
The Night Time Volume Control is disabled.
• On
The Night Time Volume Control is enabled.
Default value: ‘Off’
3. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
17.2 Setting the Night Time Volume Control Active Time
The system has a default Night Time Volume Control start time and duration for each day of the week. The
user may modify this setting according to specific requirements, as described in the following steps.
1. Select ConfigurationÆSystemÆRouterÆNoiseÆTimes.
2. Move to, and scroll to the required day of the week in the left field.
Move to and modify the volume control start time (‘Sta’) and its duration (‘Dur’) using the up&down
arrow keys or the rotary encoder:
[SUN] Sta: 22 :00 Dur: 10 :00
Default values: ‘SUN Sta: 22:00 Dur: 10:00’
‘MON Sta: 23:00 Dur: 9:00’
‘TUE Sta: 23:00 Dur: 9:00’
‘WED Sta: 23:00 Dur: 9:00’
‘THU Sta: 23:00 Dur: 9:00’
‘FRI Sta: 23:00 Dur: 9:00’
‘SAT Sta: 23:00 Dur: 11:00’
3. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
