6.3.2 Editing/Viewing a Mainframe Description
Each mainframe can be assigned a short description or name for ease of recognition. This description is for
reference only, and is only shown in menus accessing mainframes, such as, mainframe commissioning and
test menus.
In order to edit or view a mainframe description proceed as follows.
1. Select ConfigurationÆFrames.
2. Scroll and select a mainframe from the configured mainframe list:
[Frame#nn - ]
Default values: n.a.
Note: If no mainframe is configured, then a warning message will be displayed.
The mainframe description will be shown on the right side of the display, if defined.
3. Move to, and select the Description menu item:
Commission [Description] Temp Slot#n
4. Edit the mainframe description as required using the arrow keys or the rotary encoder.

Default values: blank
Possible value: alphanumeric string of up to 12 characters
Note: The DEFAULT key may be used to clear the entire text string to all blank, for speedier input.
5. Commission the amplifier by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
The system will return to the parent menu after 3 seconds on pressing the SELECT key, or immediately
on pressing the BACK key.
