Step Description Procedure
1 Physical installation
inspection
A physical check prior to antenna alignment and node
configuration to ensure that the physical installation is
complete and correct.
2 Antenna alignment
confirmation
An antenna alignment procedure is detailed in
Antenna
Alignment for Edge on page 28
. Recorded RSLs should be
within 2.5 dB of calculated RSLs.
3 Configuration
confirmation
A check, using Portal, to ensure that terminal configurations
are complete and correct and that:
• The link is operating error-free.
• All relevant alarms are extinguished.
• Link performance data is as expected.
• IP addressing and routing is set correctly, which can be
confirmed from ProVision, where installed.
4 Commissioning tests Tests designed to confirm correct link operation. Refer to
Eclipse Edge Commissioning Tests on page 3.
5 Capturing as-built data Recording all relevant installation and performance data for
future reference. Refer to
Commissioning Records for Edge
on page 11
.
6 Final inspection and
sign-off
Completion of ‘paperwork’ recording installation hand-over for
operational use, and/or any remedial action needed to
complete an installation. Refer to
