Eclipse Edge User Manual
ODUspe is designed to deliver standard power performance, as described in the table
below. For more detailed information, refer to the Eclipse Edge datasheet.

Protected Operation for Edge
Eclipse Edge supports dual-ODU hot standby or space diversity link configurations
between IDUspe 16x terminals.
Where two ODUs are to be connected to a single antenna for hot-standby
configurations, a direct-mounting coupler is used. They are available for equal or
unequal loss operation. Equal loss is nominally 3.5/3.5 dB. Unequal is nominally 1.5/
6.5 dB.
Protected links can only be configured between Edge IDUs.
One IDUspe is used at each end of the link to connect to the main ODUspe and
standby ODUspe.
•The IDUspe incorporates duplicated modems and PoE injectors for maximum
reliability.
