Eclipse Edge User Manual
Circuits
The Edge Circuits screen is used to assign and check cross-connects for Ethernet and/
or NxE1 traffic.
Figure 4-14 shows a Circuits screen. Its operation is described in the following table.
Figure 4-14. IDU Circuits Screen
Item Description
1 Shows the Ethernet circuits configuration.
Capacity is set in the DAC ES module using the up/down tabs. In this
example 20 Mbps (10xE1) has been selected.
Ethernet capacity cannot exceed the available link capacity set in the
Link/RAC Plug-ins screen.
If the requested capacity (requested capacity in the DAC ES Plug-ins
screen) does not match an exact Nx2 Mbps multiple, the Configured
capacity will be the capacity needed to accommodate the request,
which will be higher by nominally 1 Mbps to meet the Nx2 Mbps rule.
For example, if 21 Mbps is requested, the Configured capacity will be
22 Mbps.
Channel indicates the DAC ES channel used to connect the user ports to
the Link module. For Edge, there is only one channel, C1.
Channel Port indicates the number of 2 Mbps channel ports configured
to support the Ethernet capacity, and the channel ports used.
Radio Port indicates the assignment of 2 Mbps ports on the Link/RAC
module. In this example C1 Channel Ports 1 to 10 are mapped to Radio
Ports 7 to 16. This channel to radio port mapping is not user editable.
