12. Stereoscopic multichannel setup
12.5 Asynchronous frame sequential
About
The projector is capable of displaying asynchronous frame sequential 3D. For this mod e, a lot of synchronization signals m ust be
used. This is the most complex 3D setup the F50 c an handle.
To achieve this setup, each IG needs to send a separate s ource 3D sync to each projector. The first pro jector needs a signal to lock
its ou tput to; this is usually the sam e as the source input on the first pr ojector. The first projector s ends its display s ync to the second
projector which uses this as its display 3D s ync. A typical setup is shown in

As m entioned previously, m otion artifacts will occur when the signals are as ynchronous. T his is also indica ted in the Synchronization
status menu, where the status of the 3D Display sync on proj
ector 2 will show Drifting, Frame locked m eaning that the dis play
sync signal is asynchronous w ith the input source.
The table below shows the settings for asynchronous side-by-side 3D. These settings will mak e the first projector generate 3D
display L/R sync from its s ource and output it on the SYNC 1 connector and the s econd pr ojector to accept and use this on its SYNC
1 connector and pas s it along to the next p rojector in the sync chain on its SYNC 2 connector.
