6.5 Connect to a source
CAUTION: Risk o f Cable D ischarge Event (CDE) and Transient Overvoltage damage to LAN and HDBaseT
ports when connected to PoE equipment. To minimize the risk of damage to the projector, use only IEEE
802.3 co mp liant power sources and equipment in PoE systems.
General
Choice of c onnectivity depends on the installation requirements as well as the sources connected. Generally, digital interfaces are
preferred over analog. Multiple signals can be connected in parallel to allow for a selection of sources to be viewed in sequence.
The quality and length of cables may cause distorted or even failing signal quality. For best results Barco
recommends the cable quality and cable length limitations be t aken into co nsideration when setting up the
installation.
To conn ect to a video or data source, simply plug the req uired interface in to the IO panel. Once a source is connected, turn the
projector back on and then use the arrow keys (left / right) of the keypad or wireless remote control to select the applicable source.
Source selection with the keypad can only be done when the O SD menu and Lens Shift functions are closed/in-
active.
Current (active) s ource information is displayed in the OSD Status menu, whic h can be accessed by pressing the Info button on the
remote control or by going to Main Menu — Status.
