10.5 Color calibration best practice
General
Best practice is to perform the calibration in the same environment as the projector will be us ed. If this is not possible due to the
nature of the installation, calibration should be performed in a con trolled light environme nt (dark room). Too m uch ambient light
falling onto t he scre e n can mak e it imposs ible to get exact results.
It is important to do all measurements from the sam e place in the room, at the sam e place on the screen. Use a tripod for the chroma
meter if possible. The test images should fill the screen and be measured one at a time.
Always calibrate us ing test im ages from the same source that is to be used with the projector in the installation.
