5.2 Installation conditions
General
This section contains important physical and env ironme ntal information that will he lp you determine the optimal installation position
and conditions for your projector.
Barco projectors are m anu factured according to sp ecific design standards, w hich also include en vironmental
conditions. Failing to follow the terms and conditions outlined in this chapter can result in loss of product
warranty.

To protect opera ting personnel, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) recomm ends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this projector be operated without an adequate cabinet ground connection.
The AC supply must be installed by a qua lified e lectrician in co nformance to local codes. H ardware, wire sizes and conduit types
must comply with local codes.
Ventilation
The projector is fan cooled and mus t be installed with sufficient space around the projector to ensure sufficient air flow. See image 5 -1
Ventilation inlets are located on the left and right sides of the projector. Hot air is ex hausted from the rear ve nt.
