o To spike and hang a bag:
NOTE: To prevent dropping the bag, you can hang it on the hood hanger.
a. Turn the bag with its spike port facing down.
NOTE: This step helps to reduce the possibility of
air bubbles entering the inlet tube.
Turning
WARNING
Failure to insert the spike completely
into the bag port may restrict flow and
cause the delivery of incorrect
ingredient volumes, resulting in patient
harm.
b. Insert the spike fully into the bag.
c. Rotate the spike 180° to prevent occlusions.
d. Hang the bag on the hood hanger, if the bag is not
already there.
