8.6 Levelmonitoring
8.6.1 Levelmonitoring fordevices withfollow-up piston
Alevelmonitoring isinstalled indevices withfollow-up pistonbydefault (seefig. 32).
When the reservoir of the device is empty, the follow-up piston (1) pushes onto a feeler (2). This feeler actuates a
switch(3) which sendsa signal tothe integratedcontrol unit.The control unitdisplays theerror and switchesLevel too low
thedevice offinorder toprevent thatair ispumped intothe lubricationsystem.
Whenthe reservoirof thedevice isrefilled, theswitch interruptsthesignal andthe erroris automaticallyreset.
Thecurrent levelcan additionallybe checkedvisually atthe levelsticker (see fig.33).
