9.2.10 FunctionLine break monitoring
It is possible to electronically evaluate the line break
monitoring of a progressive distributor with the integrated
controlunit PICO-tronic.
Micro switches which will be connected to the control unit,,
are installed in the line break monitoring at the progressive
distributor. The micro switches send a signal to the control
unitwhen thereis sufficientpressure inthe lines.
If the pressure in the lines falls, e.g. because the machine
that is to be lubricated was switched off over night, the micro
switchesswitch thesignal off.
When the machine that is to be lubricated and thus also the device are switched on again, the device starts to rebuild the
pressure inthe lines. If thepressure has notbeen rebuilt after the start cycles (standardsetting 2 cycles) andthe following
adjustable line break monitoring time (standard setting 1 min) have finished, e.g. because a line is broken or leaky, the
integrated control unit displays an error (see chapter 13.2 „Signal indicators of the integrated control unit PICO-tronic").
However, the device continues to operate in order to supply the lube points with lubricant, which are connected to the
intactlines.
The micro switches of the line break monitoring are connected in series. If a micro switch does not switch on the signal,
the signal is absent at the integrated control unit. The error is automatically reset when the pressure rebuilds in all lines
afterthe troubleshooting.
The line break monitoring can be connected to the integrated control unit at the left Hirschmann plug-type connection on
theprotective housing(GO610WF, seefig.40).
The function can be activated at any time using the diagnosis software (with theLine break monitoring BEKA-DiSys
current version available at ). When the function is activated, a line break monitoringwww.beka-lube.de has to be
connected;otherwise apermanent erroroccurs.
The function cannot be selected in the operational mode ofLine break monitoring pulse-
dependentcycle durationor togetherwith thefunction .System pressure monitoring
