7.2.2 Fillingof thedevice
Pay attention to utmost cleanliness when filling the device. Only fill in clean lubricant. When dirt
particles get into the device, the pistons of the pump elements can wear, which results in the
destruction ofthe pumpelements.The dirtparticles canalso getinto the lubrication system andcan
cloglines orconnected progressivedistributors.
Avoid overfilling the device; otherwise lubricant might leak out which can cause environmental
damage!
A) Fillingvia thecone-type zerkwith afilling gun(standard)
Remove theprotective cap ofthe existing cone-type zerk,connect a suitablefilling gun (manuallyoperated or pneumatic)
to this oneand fill the device upto the maximum level (seefig. 15). Put the protective cap back on the cone-type zerkafter
finishingthe fillingprocess.
