the edge of the fabric should lie flat and not roll
use darning thread for fine materials
Satin stitch
dense, short zig-zag (stitch length 0.5-0.7 mm)
use satin stitch for appliqué, embroidery, etc

As a variation the satin stitch No. 1354 can be used.
