Reporting Formats
The control panel provides a number of transmission formats for its reporting and
communication features. Program the transmission format for Receiver 1 in Location 033 and
the transmission format for Receiver 2 in Location 073 (refer to Transmission Format for
Receivers , page 69).
The transmission format can also be selected with location options to specify how to transmit
the information to the base station receiver. If Contact ID, or Domestic, or SIA format is
selected, the information is transmitted by telephone line; if SIA Fast format is selected, the
transmission baud is SIA 300; if SIA Low format is selected, the transmission baud is SIA 110;
if IP or Email format is selected, the information is transmitted to network by external network
modules.
The control panel is set at the factory to report in the Contact ID Format.
Contact ID Format
Contact ID Format can identify hundreds of protection zones by their unique codes. This
format provides a single-digit Event Qualifier and a three-digit Event Code that quickly
identifies the reported condition.
In general, Contact ID Format is very simple because most of the Event Codes and Point ID
Codes are predefined. The base station software usually can identify an alarmed zone by its
Point ID Code and usually pays little attention to the Event Code.
Contact ID format is ACCT MT Q EEE GG CCC S.
