Configuring for email
Enabled external network modules and configured Email parameters through A-Link Plus, the
control panel sends emails to assigned inbox through external network modules when events
received.

In the configuration diagram above, the control panel is programmed with Transmission
Format as Email and two network modules are enabled to access mail server. It is an example
of using B426/B426-M as network module 1 and B450/B450-M as network module 2. The
wiring diagram is shown in above picture. “B426-1” means the rotary address switch of B426/
B426-M is set to 1; “B450-2” means the rotary address switch of B450/B450-M is set to 2.

Configure through B426/B426-M
Notice!
When Web Access Enable are set to Yes, B426/B426-M module parameters except Email
parameters can be configured through web interface. Email parameters are configured
through A-Link Plus and downloaded to the control panel.
Follow the steps below to configure necessary parameters to network module and send emails
through the module.
Step 1: Enable network module with an Alphanumeric codepad
1. Enter the Installer passcode (the default is 1234) and press [#] to enter Installer’s
Programming Mode.
2. Press [7][2][1] to access the Network Module menu, select Network Module 1 or 2, and
press [#].
3. Select 3 - Used, B4xx-M, and press [#].
4. Select 1 - Enable, and press [#].
5. Continue to press [-] until you return to Confirm to Save Parameter Changes.
6. Press [#] to save changes.
Step 2: Connect module to the control panel.
1. Power off the control panel.
2. Connect the factory defaulted B426/B426-M to the control panel.
3. Power on the control panel.
