Prior to proceeding with the disassembly procedure,
(1) Unplug the following:
- Power cord from the electrical outlet
- Modular jack of the telephone line from the machine
- Modular jack of the curled cord*

(and remove the handset*

- USB cable, if connected
- LAN cable*

, if connected
- USB digital camera cable or USB flash memory drive, if connected
- Modular jack of the external telephone set, if connected
(2) Remove the following:
- Paper tray ASSY
- Handset mount*

(see the illustration below)
(3) Remove memory cards*

if inserted in the machine.

Removing the handset mount Installing the handset mount
Pull the tab on the bottom of the
handset mount outwards, and
remove the handset mount in the
direction of the arrow.
Align the markings on the
machine and handset mount with
each other and slide the handset
mount in the direction of the arrow.
