INSPECTION
The starter interlock system is designed to prevent unin-
tended start-up and/or forward motion of the motorcycle with
the vehicle’s side stand not retracted. Use the following tests
to check the system for proper operation.
The reference numbers below correlate with the circled num-
bers in the 7.6 STARTER INTERLOCK flow charts.
1. Check diode with an ohmmeter as shown in Figure 7-11
2. Check diode polarity as shown in Figure 7-11
