Alde auxiliary circulating
pump (special equipment)
The auxiliary circulating pump (Fig. 164,1) can be used to heat the vehicle
engine when parked.
The auxiliary circulating pump is connected to the vehicle engine's cooling cir-
cuit and thus functions as an engine heater.
The auxiliary circulating pump switch (Fig. 165,2 or Fig. 166) is located next to
the hot-water heater operating unit. The yellow indicator lamp (Fig. 165,1) illu-
minates when the pump is operated.
9.2.5 Auxiliary heat exchanger (partially special equipment)
The auxiliary heat exchanger is built into the bench seat.
The auxiliary heat exchanger may be used to provide the vehicle's living area
with additional heat during the journey.
The auxiliary heat exchanger is integrated into the heat circulation of the base
vehicle and is therefore only in operation when the vehicle engine is running.
Z The auxiliary circulating pump works only if the heat exchanger has been
installed and started, and the hot-water heater is running.
