Bringingthemachineuptooperatingtemperature
Beforestartingoperation,themainsystemsofthemachineshouldbewarmeduptotheirnormaloperatingtempera-
ture.
NOTE:Thenormaloperatingtemperatureforthehydraulicuidis50–80°C(122–176°F).Thiscorrespondsto
foursegmentslitonthehydraulictemperaturegauge.
NOTE:Thenormaloperatingtemperaturefortheenginecoolantis75–90°C(167–194°F).Thiscorrespondsto
foursegmentslitonthecoolanttemperaturegauge.
Awarm-upprocedureshouldbecarriedoutinordertograntaproperandsafeusageofthemachine,andinorderto
grantthebestmachineperformanceandfuelefciency.
NOTICE:Thewarm-upofthemachineismandatorywhenoperatinginseverewinterclimates.
NOTICE:Thewarm-upofthemachinepreventswearandseveredamagestotheengine,tothefuelsystem,tothe
SCRsystemandtothehydraulicsystem.
NOTICE:Theexhaustpipebecomesextremelyhotwhiletheengineisidling.Makesurethatthereisnoammable
materialsuchasplants,driedgrass,paperwaste,oilandoldtiresclosetotheexhaustpipebeforestartingwarm-up
procedure.
NOTICE:Nevercoverthegridsoftheradiatorswithammablematerials.
Automaticmachinewarmup
Regardlessoftheambientconditions,themachinecontrolsystemallowstocarryoutanautomaticwarm-upproce-
durethatbringsthetemperatureofthemainoperatinguidstotheproperlevelformachineoperation.
Starttheenginewiththespeedthrottleinthelowidlepositionandletthemachinecompletetheautomaticwarm-up
procedure.Duringtheautomaticwarm-up,theenginespeedandtheengineloadareautomaticallymanagedinorder
tomatchthewarm-upcycletotheambientconditionsandtooptimizethewarm-upcycleinrespecttothemachine
operatingparameters.
NOTE:theenginespeedandthenoiseofthehydraulicsaresupposedtochangeduringthewarm-upcycle.
NOTICE:Theautomaticwarm-upprocedureistherecommendedoperatingpractice.However,theautomatic
warm-upprocedurecanbeoverriddeneitherbychangingtheenginespeedmanuallyorbyoperatinganyoperation
lever.
Astheprocedurestartsup,themessageAUTOWARMUPisdisplayed:
Theautomaticwarm-upproceduretakesabout5–10mindependingontheambientconditions.
Aftercompletionoftheautomaticwarm-upprocedure,theAUTOWARMUPmessagedisappears,andtheengine
speedgetsbacktolowidle.
