dling,ordiggingequipmenttoliftpersons.
Donotuseraisedequipmentasaworkplatform.
Knowthefullareaofmovementofthemachineandequip-
mentanddonotenterorpermitanyonetoenterthearea
ofmovementwhilethemachineisinoperation.
Neverenterorpermitanyonetoentertheareaunder-
neathraisedequipment.Equipmentand/orloadscanfall
unexpectedlyandcrushpersonsunderneathit.
Donotleaveequipmentinraisedpositionwhileparked
orduringservice,unlesssecurelysupported.Hydraulic
cylindersmustbemechanicallylockedorsupportedif
theyareleftinaraisedpositionforserviceoraccess.
Loaderbuckets,forks,etc.orotherlifting,handling,or
diggingequipmentanditsloadwillchangethecenterof
gravityofthemachine.Thiscancausethemachinetotip
onslopesorunevenground.
Loaditemscanfallofftheloaderbucketorliftingequip-
mentandcrushtheoperator.Caremustbetakenwhen
liftingaload.Useproperliftingequipment.
Donotliftloadhigherthannecessary.Lowerloadsto
transport.Remembertoleaveappropriateclearanceto
thegroundandotherobstacles.
Equipmentandassociatedloadscanblockvisibilityand
causeanaccident.Donotoperatewithinsufcientvisi-
bility.
Beforeusingthemachine
•
Avoidloosettingclothing,looseoruncoveredlong
hair,jewelryoranyotheritemswhichcouldgetcaught
upinmachinery.
•
Differenttypesofjobwillrequiredifferenttypesofpro-
tectiveequipment.Itemssuchashardhats,safety
shoes,heavygloves,reectortypejackets,respirators,
earprotectionandeyeprotectionmayberequired.Be-
forestartingajob,determinewhatprotectiveequip-
mentwillbenecessary.Usethisequipmentatalltimes.
•
Donotattempttooperatethismachineunlessyouhave
rstreadandperfectlyunderstoodthesafetymessages
andinstructionsappearinginthismanual.
•
Operatingthemachinerequiresfullattentionandcare
onthepartoftheoperatorcanavoidaccidents.Get
toknowthemachine'spossibilitiesandlimitationsand
theworkingspacerequired.Thereareareasofpoor
visibilityintheworkingrangeofthemachine.Have
someoneguideyouforallareaswherevisibilityisnot
perfect.

Grease,oil,mudor(inwinter)iceonthestepsand
accesshandlescancauseaccidents.Makesurethey
arekeptcleanatalltimes.
•
Everyday,inspectthemachinetodetectanysignsof
hydraulicuidleakage.Tightentheconnectionsorre-
placeanydefectivecomponentsasnecessary.
•
Removeanyobstructionswhichhindervisibility.Keep
thewindshield,rearviewmirrorandwindowscleanat
alltimes.
•
Makesurethewindshieldwiperworkscorrectly.
•
Makesureyouareperfectlyfamiliarwithhandsignals
indailyuseontheworksitesoastobeabletoobtain
helpwithtightmanoeuvresorwhencarryingoutoper-
ationswherevisibilityispoor.
•
Beforeundertakinganytravelorworkingoperations
duringhoursofdarkness,makesurethelightingand
signalingequipmentisfullyoperative.
•
Beforeanytraveloperation,makesurethatthedoors
andhoodsareproperlylatched.
•
Checkthatnotoolsorotheritemshavebeenleftonthe
machine(beitontheundercarriageortheupperstruc-
ture)orintheoperator'scompartment.
•
Theoperatormustbealoneonthemachineatalltimes.
Donotallowanyonetostandonoraroundthemachine.
•
Togetinoroutofthecab,itisimperativethattheup-
perstructureframeisinlinewiththeundercarriage.
