Procedure
Step 1 Search for a contact and select it.
Step 2 Press to save the contact as a favorite.
Edit a Contact Phone Number's Digits
You can search for a contact that's in your corporate directory. If the contact has a phone number but no
address information, you may need to edit the phone number before you call. For example, you may need to
add a digit to reach an outside line, or to replace an external phone number with an internal dial code.
If the contact has both address information and a phone number, only the address is shown and you can't edit
it.
Before you begin
Search for a contact in your corporate directory.
Procedure
Step 1 Press Edit dial (8800 Series) or EditDial (7800 Series).
Step 2 Move the cursor to the digits that you want to edit:
• 8800 Series: Press left or right on the navigation ring.
• 7800 Series: Press >> or <<.
Step 3 Edit the number. Use the X softkey to delete digits.
Step 4 Press Call to call the edited number.
The edited number is saved in your Recents list. You can save the edited number as a Favorite. If you search
for the same contact again, you see the original number, not your edited version.
