Messages from the XPS Card Printer Driver on the PC
• TheCardPrinterDriverdisplaysthesamemessagesasthoseontheprinter
LCDpanel.ThemessagesthatdisplayonthePCprovideadditional
informationabouttheconditionthatcausedthe messageandcontain
recoveryinstructions.Clicktheappropriatebuttoninthemessageboxto
clearthemessage.
• MessagesdisplayonthePCthatsentthecardprintjob.
• Ifyoucancelajobattheprinter,themessageisremovedfromthePC.Any
additionalme ssagesforthecanceledjob(forexample,forabrokenribbon)
donotdisplayonthePC.
• Messagescandisplayinthebackground,behindtheapplicationsendingthe
card.Onsomeoperatingsystems,themessagedisplaysinthestatusbar.Click
theblinkingExplorer(folder)iconinthestatusbartoopenthemessage.
• Ifmorethanonemessagewasissued,thenextmessagedisplaysafteryou
closethecurrentmessage.
• IfthereismorethanonecardprinterinstalledonthePC,messagesdisplay
oneatatime.Thetitlebarofeachmessageshowstheprinter name.
• IfthereismorethanonecardprinterinstalledonthePCandeachhasissued
errors,theprinterdriverdisplaysthemessagesreceived,evenifyoucleared
theerrorattheprinter.
• TheCardPrinterDriverDrivercanissuemessagesthatdonotdisplayonthe
printerLCDpanel.Referto“Driver‐On ly Messages”onpage76and“Driver
SDKMessages”onpage78foralistofthesemessages.

PrinterManagerissuesmessagesthatdisplayinawebbrowserwindow.Click
