8.4. GROUND HANDLING / ROAD TRANSPORT
8.4.1. Ground Handling
A. Towing Forward
The airplane is most easily and safely maneuvered by hand with the tow-bar attached to
the nose wheel. See Figure 8.1 for installation of tow bar.
If the aircraft is towed forward without using the tow-bar, the nose-wheel will follow the
movement of the airplane. It is recommended that the tow-bar be used to pull the aircraft
forward. Towing the aircraft can be assisted by pulling on the propeller at the root just
next to the propeller spinner. If any additional assistance is required, the aircraft may
only be pushed on the trailing edge of the wing tip.
