Ŷ Printer shut-down
NOTE The procedures applicable to prolonged shutdowns are given
in the Servicing section of this manual.
Stopping the - - printer
CAUTION Do not interrupt the shut-down procedure.
1. Press to shut down the printer.

2. Press
ҏ to confirm.
3. Select the type of shut-down you want:
Type of shut-down: ?
Long (YES)
Short (NO)
NO
YES
Ƒ Select a long shutdown (= 6 min) if the printer is to be stopped for between 2 hours
and 8 days (this is the normal end-of-day shutdown):
Press
ҏ to confirm YES.
Ƒ Select a short shutdown (= 1.5 min) if the printer is to be stopped for less than
2 hours or if it is to be restarted later the same day:
Select NO using
and press ҏto confirm.
The printer is shut down, but it is just the ink circuit which is taken out of service
and some of the interface functions remain available.
