Below will guide you to create a PPTP/SSL dial-out profile for VPN connection:
1. Open VPN and Remote Access >> VPN Profiles and click PPTP Dial-out.
2. Simply click the Add button.
3. The following dialog will appear.
Available parameters are listed as follows:
Item Description
Profile
Type the name of the profile.
Enable
Check this box to enable this profile.
Always On
Click Enable to make the profile being always on.
Dial-Out Through
Choose a wan interface to be used by such profile. Then, use
the default WAN IP or specify a WAN Alias IP for VPN
tunnel.
Failover to
Choose a wan profile which will lead the data passing
through other WAN automatically when the selected WAN
interface (in Dial-Out Through) is failover.
Idle Timeout (sec)
If the user is idle over the limitation of the timer, the
network connection will be stopped for such user. By
default, the Idle Timeout is set to 300 seconds.
Server IP/Host
Name
Type the IP address or the host name of PPTP/SSL server.
PPTP User Name/
SSL User Name
Type a user name for authentication in PPTP/SSL
connection.
PPTP Password/
Type a password for authentication in PPTP/SSL
