7. Emergency Operation
Q
General
Emergency Operation is available in TMO and in DMO, if the
TGR990 is in service.
Emergency Mode indication (alert tones) can be disabled by your
Service Provider.
Note:
Pressing even if Transmit Inhibit is activated causes
immediately the
TGR990
to transmit. When entering
Emergency Operation the
TGR990
should not be within the RF
sensitive area any longer!
Q
Entering Emergency Mode
The terminal will enter Emergency Mode when you press and hold
.
The Emergency Mode allows you to use the
PTT
to transmit with
Emergency priority (by either initiating an Emergency Group Call or
requesting emergency transmit priority).
After entering Emergency Mode, your TGR990 automatically sends
an Emergency Call to predefined address and activate emergency
call autotransmit feature (if configured).
The emergency call autotransmit feature allows you to talk without
pressing the
PTT
. Pressing
PTT
during the emergency call
autotransmit function ends emergency call autotransmit
transmission. If the emergency call autotransmit is disabled, then
use
PTT
to talk.
Each time you press , the terminal will send an Emergency Call
with autotransmit emergency function again.
