9. Storage
If possible, do not store the pump for long-term. When long-term storage is necessary,
the pump should be set up and operated for a minimum of eight hours every six months.
To store the pump:
1. Put protecve covers over all ports, the main inlet, inter-stage exhaust, purge and
vent ports.
2.
Put the pump in its packing materials. Seal the pump in a plasc bag with a
applicable desiccant for fastest pump-down when the pump is put back into
service.
3.
Store the pump in cool, dry condions. Make sure that the pump is not exposed to
atmospheric air unl necessary for use.
4.
When necessary, prepare and install the pump as given in Installaon on page 35.
5.
Keep the pump upright at all mes to prevent the drainage of oil from the bearing
reservoir.
