9. Storage
If possible, do not store the pump for long-term. When long-term storage is necessary,
the pump should be set up and operated for a minimum of eight hours every six months.
To store the pump:
1. Put protecve covers over all ports, the main inlet, inter-stage exhaust, purge and
vent ports.
2.
Put the pump in its packing materials. Seal the pump in a plasc bag with a
applicable desiccant for fastest pump-down when the pump is put back into
service.
3.
Store the pump in cool, dry condions. Make sure that the pump is not exposed to
atmospheric air unl necessary for use.
4.
When necessary, prepare and install the pump as given in Installaon on page 35.
5.
Keep the pump upright at all mes to prevent the drainage of oil from the bearing
reservoir.
