3.10 Motor controller auxiliary connector socket
The pump has a 4-way auxiliary connector socket at the side of the motor controller.
The mang plug for the connector is pre-installed to a number of accessories or
available as an accessory. Refer to Accessories on page 101.
The connector supplies the power to the vent valve or a fan. The connector is shown in
Figure: Valve connector on page 29, with the polarity of the pins marked, when the vent
valve or fan is set to on.
The auxiliary connector output is controlled to 24 V d.c. to control the accessories, even
when the pump is in operaon from a 48 V d.c. supply and is protected from the
overload and short circuits. If the auxiliary load current becomes more than the value
given in Table: Motor controller technical data on page 28, the output will stop to
protect the motor controller.

The motor controller connector gives two independently congured and controlled
outputs:
▪ Aux output 1
It is congured through the vent opon 1 and valve 1 type. Refer to Vent valve
control on page 69.
Aux output 1 has default sengs for a normally open vent valve.
▪ Aux output 2
It is congured through vent opon 2 and valve 2 type. Refer to Vent valve control
on page 69.
Aux output 2 has default sengs for a fan.
This enables the combinaon of fan or vent valve accessory to be connected, congured
and controlled correctly.
The nEXT air coolers and vent valve accessories (which have the corresponding
connector installed) are congured to Aux output 1 and Aux output 2 to give the plug
and play ability (refer to Accessories on page 101). The nEXT vent valves are congured
to Aux output 1 and the default seng for the vent opons 1 are applicable for this type
of accessory. The nEXT85 air coolers are congured to Aux output 2 and the default
seng for the vent opons 2 are applicable for this type of accessory.
Bare wire versions of the nEXT air coolers and vent valve accessories are available, which
are not pre-congured. This enables any combinaon of accessory to be used,
congured independently and controlled on Aux output 1 and Aux output 2.
