Functional safety SIL
The Cerabar M with 4 to 20 mA output signal has been developed to assessed and certified by TÜV
NORD CERT as per IEC 61508 Edition 2.0 and IEC 61511. These devices can be used to monitor the
process level and pressure up to SIL 2. For a detailed description of the safety functions with Cerabar

Some device versions have CRN approval. A CRN-approved process connection with a CSA approval
must be ordered for a CRN-approved device.PMP55 devices with a capillary are not CRN-
