YoucaninstalluptosixlinecardsintheK6chassis.
K-AC-PS-1400W Power Supplies
TheK‐AC‐PS‐1400Wisa1400wattpowersupply,whichhasonefront‐panelACinputpower
connector.Thetypeofpowercordshippedwiththeunitiscountry‐dependent.Eachpowercord
mustbepluggedintoanindependentpowercircuit.
TheK‐AC‐PS‐1400Wpowersupplyprovides
upto1400W(600Wof12Vchassispower/400Wof
54VPoEpower@120V;600Wof12Vchassispower,800Wof54VPoEpower@240V).Depending
uponyourpowerrequirements,youcaninstalluptofourK‐AC‐PS‐1400Wpowersuppliesinthe
K6chassis.Thesecond,third,
andfourthpowersuppliesprovideloadsharingandredundancy.
TheK‐AC‐PS‐1400WiscapableofloadsharingtheK6chassispowerload.Ifapowersupplyfails,
theotherpowersuppliessupporttheentireloadofthechassiswithoutinterruptiontonetwork
traffic.Referto“SiteGuidelines”on
page 2 ‐1forpoweroutletrequirements.
ForadditionalPoEpower,youcanconnectanadditionalK‐AC‐PS‐1400WpowersupplytotheK6
chassisusingtheK‐POE‐4BAYshelf.

TheK‐AC‐PS‐1400Wpowersuppliesreportinformationregardingtheirpresentoperatingstatus.
Thisinformationincludesthefollowing:
•PowersupplyID(PS1,PS2,PS3,PS4)
•Powersupplystatus(normal/fault/notinstalled)
•Powersupplyredundancyindication(redundant/notavailable)

statusinformationusingLocalManagement.
Auto-Ranging Input Voltage and Frequency
TheK‐AC‐PS‐1400Wpowersuppliesautomaticallyadjusttotheinputvoltageandfrequency,
whichallowsforaninputvoltageof100to240 Vac,andafrequencybetween50and60 Hz.See
theoperatingspecificationsinApp endix A,SpecificationsandRegulatoryCompliance.No
additionaladjustmentsarenecessary.Forinstallationsin
NorthAmericaone15A powercordis

Note: Each K-AC-PS-1400W power cord must be connected to an independent AC power source
to handle the input power requirements.
