•TheK‐AC‐PS‐1400Wpowersupplyrequiresone three‐prongedpowerreceptaclecapableof
deliveringthecurrentandvoltagespecifiedin“K‐AC‐PS‐1400WPowerSupply
Specifications”onpage A‐1.OneACoutletonanindependentlyfusedcircuitisrequiredfor
eachpowersupply,andmustbelocatedwithinthreemeters(9.84feet)ofthesite.The
power
cordusedandtypeofoutletisdependentonthecountry.
•Ambienttemperatureattheinstallationsitemustbemaintainedbetween5°and45°C
(41° to 113°F).Temperaturechangesmustbemaintainedwithin10°C(18°F)perhour.
•TokeepyourK6chassisrunningatthepropertemperature,youmayhaveto
vacuumany
accumulateddustperiodicallyfromtheventholesontherightsideoftheK6chassis.
Restrictions
TheK6chassissupportsamaximumoftwelve10Gports.Thismaximumincludes10Gports
installedonboththefabriccardandlinecards.
Precautions
IfyouareinstallingaK‐POE‐4BAYPoEshelftousewithaK6chassis,youmustinstallboththeK‐
POE‐4BAYPoEshelfandtheK6chassisinarestrictedaccesslocation.Ensurethatyouhaveread
andunderstoodtheinstallationandoperationprecautionsbeforeinstallingyourequipm ent.

Access to the equipment by users must be restricted through the use of a tool or lock and key or
other means of security and is controlled by the authority responsible for the location.
