1 INTRODUCTION
Universal Gateway (ProtoNode) is an external, high performance Energy Management System (EMS)
multi-protocol gateway that uses the FieldServer ProtoNode Technology. The ProtoNode can support
multiple boilers/water heaters. It has been pre-programmed to communicate between boiler devices listed
in Table 1-1 and LonWorks®
.
It is not necessary to download any configuration files to support the required applications. The ProtoNode
is pre-loaded with tested profiles/configurations for the supported devices.
