Network Hosts
The inverter will connect to the following hosts. Some servers owned by FIMER, and others are
customer or ISP servers. Servers listed as owned by “Customer IT/ISP” must be configured in the
inverter using either DHCP or as static network information.

Inverter network configuration
The inverter requires a valid network configuration in order to operate. This information can either be
provided by a DHCP server provided by the customers network (the default), or the inverter can be
configured with static network information. Regardless of how the inverter is configured, the following
information is required.
Configuration Purpose
IP Address
Allows the inverter to take part in the local network. This does not need to be a public IP
address. In most cases this is a private IP address.
Subnet mask Used to determine if two computers are on the same network.
Gateway
The IP address of the computer which will forward network traffic from the local network to
an external network
DNS Server The IP address(es) of the computer(s) which resolve domain names.
