Notes on the system sizing
Decisions on how to structure a photovoltaic system depend on a series of factors and considerations,
such as type of panels, space availability, future location of the system, energy production goals over
the long term, etc.
NOTE – D A configuration program that can help to correctly size the photovoltaic system is
available on the FIMER website (www.fimer.com).
NOTE – D When configuring DC input and during the installation it’s needed to follow one
basic rule to avoid possible output power derating: All MPPTs shall be populated connecting
at least one string. For example, considering to connect 20 strings, proceed connecting one
string per MPPT and then connect the remaining strings in the selected MPPTs where you
want to use 2 strings.
