Calibrate Hand Crank Insulation Testers with the 5 kV High Resistance Option
The 5 kV high-resistance source (5322A/5 and 5322A/5/VLC) can be used for
hand-crank insulation meters. The connection uses two leads between the
Product and the DUT.
Fluke Calibration does not recommend the 1.5 kV Product version (5322A and
5322A/VLC) for calibrating hand crank insulation testers due to its low voltage
range.
Ground the high-resistance source:
1. Push the Setup softkey.
2. Select High resistance source item.
3. Select High resistance source GND item and set to ON.
4. Push the Exit softkey to leave the Setup menu.
To perform a hand-crank ohmmeter calibration:
1. Push the HiΩ button.
2. Connect the DUT to the Product HI Ohm and LO Ohm output terminals. See
Figure 36.
