Measure with the Built-in Multimeter
The Product is equipped with an ac/dc voltage, current, current leakage, and time
interval meter. The meter has five selectable modes as well as a help guide:
• Multimeter: The meter will measure up to 1100 V rms and up to 30 A rms
simultaneously. This makes it possible to measure power consumption and
line current simultaneously when calibrating appliance testers.
• HIPOT LC: The meter will simultaneously measure output voltage and
leakage current of hipot testers up to 300 mA.
• HIPOT Timer: The meter measures the time interval of hipot testers up to
999 seconds.
• Flash Leakage Current: The meter measures test voltage of a flash tester
using the HV 5kV terminal, and the flash testers leakage current using the A
terminal. The flash tester can be set to Class I or Class II.
• Flash Voltage: The meter measures test voltage of a flash using the HV 5kV
terminal. The flash tester can be set to Class I or Class II.
• Help: The help guide offers basic information about the selected function.
The meter input terminals and function selection button are located in the lower
left corner of the front panel (See items 4 and 6 in Table 5 of Front-Panel
Operation). The V terminal is for ac and dc voltages up to 1100 V dc/ac. The HV
terminal, also referred to as the HV 5 kV Probe, measures up to 5000 V ac rms
or dc and is used for HIPOT and PAT Flash tests. The A terminal is for ac and dc
currents. The COM terminal is the return for all meter measurements.
Note
When measuring with the built-in multimeter, the meter terminals are
always connected. Measurements are taken whether the Product is
in standby or operate mode.
