To change the current level detection setting:
1. Push the Setup softkey.
2. Using the cursor keys or rotary knob, highlight the RCD selection and either
push the Select softkey or push in the rotary knob
3. Using the cursor keys or rotary knob, highlight I level and either push the
Select softkey or push in the rotary knob.
4. Using the cursor keys or rotary knob, highlight the desired current level (5,
30, 60, 75, 90, 100, and 120) and either push the Select softkey or push in
the rotary knob.
5. Push the Exit softkey several times to return to the RCD calibration main
screen.
The I level parameter allows the Product to ignore pretest pulses generated
by many DUTs. Pretest pulses can be as high as 50 % of the nominal trip
current value. This parameter is also used for testing DUTs that generate trip
currents less than the nominal trip current. The recommended setting is 90 %
and is set as the default value for the current level.
Output Terminals Reconnection
After tripping, the power line voltage is either disconnected until a new
measurement is run by pushing or the power line voltage can be
automatically connected and re-connected to the output terminals after a fixed
time interval of approximately 2.5 seconds. The Automatic reconnection is
intended to be used with testers that draw power from the Product's L and N
terminals.
Use Automatic reconnection in the Setup>RCD menu to control this behavior:
1. Push the Setup softkey.
2. Use the cursor keys or rotary knob to highlight the RCD selection and either
push the Select softkey or push in the rotary knob.
3. Using the cursor keys or rotary knob, highlight Automatic reconnection and
either push the Select softkey or push in the rotary knob. See Figure 17.
4. Use the cursor keys or rotary knob to highlight the desired parameter, either
Off to leave output terminals disconnected or Reconnect to enable repeated
line voltage connection.
5. Push the Select softkey or push in the rotary knob.
6. Push the Exit softkey several times to return to the RCD calibration main
screen.
