Exceptions for USB Remote Control
When you use the USB port to remotely control the Product, either interactively
with a terminal or under computer control, operation is the same as using an
IEEE 488 controller, with the following exceptions:
1. Control-C performs the same function as DCL (Device Clear) or SDC
(Selected Device Clear).
2. The EOL (End of Line) input terminator is Carriage Return (Control/M) or Line
Feed (Control-L).
3. Control-R echoes to the port a Carriage Return, a Line Feed, and any
uncompleted remote command entered. This allows you to see a copy of
whatever has been typed in since the last command.
4. There is no SRQ capability when using USB port for remote control. The
status registers still behave as described in this section, but the Product serial
interface does not have a way to perform the SRQ function.
5. There are three special commands available only for USB remote control:
SYST:REM, SYST:RWL, and SYST:LOC. These are described in the SCPI
Command Details section.
5320A Remote Emulation
The Product can emulate the 5320A when in the remote mode. To emulate a
5320A, push Setup, Interface, and then set 5320A emulation to On. With
5320A emulation On, the Product responds to the command *IDN with
"FLUKE,5320A,serial number, firmware revision". All 5320A commands are
accepted and executed if the hardware allows. If a 5320A command is not
compatible with the 5322A hardware, the command is essentially ignored, with
no error reported.
Remote Interface Factory Settings
Table 12 lists the setup functions for the remote interface and their respective
factory set values.
