XWWarning
To avoid electric shock, ensure the Product is in standby while
making connections to the L and N connectors. Lethal voltages
are present on the L and N connectors during RCD Trip Current
calibration.
5. Referring to the terminals part of the display, connect the DUT to the Product.
6. Ensure the nominal trip current and the current multiplier value on the DUT,
are equal to the values set in the Product.
7. Push to start the calibration process.
8. Push Start on the DUT.
The Product puts power line voltage on the RCD L and N terminals. When start is
pushed on the DUT, the DUT’s internal load is connected to the Product
connectors. When the measured current reaches a value specified by the
product of the nominal trip current and the current multiplier, a timer is triggered.
The timer starts at the first zero crossing of the power line voltage before the trip
current value was reached. When the time in the timer matches the selected trip
time, the output connectors are disconnected and the measured values are
displayed.
After tripping, the power line voltage is disconnected from the OUTPUT HI and
LO terminals until a new measurement is run by pushing or is automatically
re-connected again to the output terminals after a fixed time interval of
approximately 2.5 seconds. In the automatic re-connection mode, after a trip
occurs, the mains is connected to the OUTPUT HI and LO terminals after the
2.5 second time interval once again, and the cycle repeats continuously. The
behavior of the output terminals depends on the setting parameter of the RCD
output terminals in Setup menu, see Output Terminals Reconnection.
