10.9 System
If a security notice message has been specified, the user must accept the message in order
to begin using the system. If no security notice has been specified, the user can use the
system immediately after logging on.
To access the Security Notice page, on the Security page, click Security Notice (see
"Security Notice Page" on page 356).

To add or update a security notice message, enter the message in the box and click Apply.
Storage Encryption (Scale model only)
The Storage Encryption page allows you to set up data encryption for stored user data.
Data encryption for stored user data is only available with ETERNUS CS800
Scale models.
Encrypting data as it is being written to the drive prevents information leakage caused by
fraudulent decoding. Even if a drive is removed and stolen by malicious third parties, data
cannot be decoded. The encryption function only encrypts the data stored on the drives, so
server access results in the transmission of plain text. Therefore, this function prevents data
leakage from drives that are physically removed, but does not prevent data leakage from
server access.
To access the Storage Encryption page, on the Security page, click the Storage tab (see
Figure "Storage Encryption page" on page 357).
