Field Description
Group Description Enter a unique name for the Drop In group.
Mode Select which mode is to be used to send the MAC addresses of
network components.
Possible values:
• +&, (default value): ARP packets and IP packets
belonging to the Drop In network are passed on transparently
(unmodified).
• =): ARP packets and IP packets belonging to the Drop In
network are passed on with the MAC address of the respect-
ive interface.
Network Configuration Select how an IP address is assigned to the network compon-
ents.
Possible values:
• -% (default value)
• 1@4
Network Address Only for Network Configuration = -%
Enter the network address of the Drop In network.
Netmask Only for Network Configuration = -%
Enter the corresponding netmask.
Local IP Address Only for Network Configuration = -%
Enter the local IP address. This IP address must be identical for
all the Ethernet ports in a network.
DHCP Client on Inter-
face
Only for Network Configuration = 1@4.
Here you can select an Ethernet interface on your router which
is to act as the DHCP client.
You need this setting, for example, if your provider's router is
being used as the DHCP server.
